James Patrick Shea to speak at the National Conference of Bankruptcy Judges.
LAS VEGAS, NV — Kolesar & Leatham is pleased to announce that the Chair of its Creditors’ Rights Practice Group, James Patrick Shea, Esq. will be speaking on the challenges of Midsize Chapter 11s at the National Conference of Bankruptcy Judges (NCBJ), on October 30, 2018.
The NCBJ is an association of bankruptcy judges of the United States which provide continuing legal education to judges, lawyers, and other involved professionals, to promote cooperation among the bankruptcy judges, to secure a greater degree of quality and uniformity in the administration of the bankruptcy system and to improve the practice of law in United States Bankruptcy Courts.
Shea is nationally recognized in the field of commercial insolvency and reorganization. He is a former President and Chairman of the Board of the American Bankruptcy Institute (ABI), the nation’s largest association of bankruptcy professionals, made up of over 12,000 members dedicated to research and education on matters related to insolvency.
He currently serves as Chair of ABI’s Civility Task Force and is the founding Chairman and current Vice Chairman of the State Bar of Nevada’s Bankruptcy Law Section.
