Jordan, who is already a member of the New York and California Bar, moved to Las Vegas and joined Kolesar & Leatham as a shareholder earlier this spring. Hunter is a recent graduate from University of Nevada, Las Vegas’s William S. Boyd School of Law and will be joining the Kolesar & Leatham team as an associate. We look forward to their respective expertise and contributions to the firm.

Kolesar & Leatham is pleased to announce that John M. Orr has joined the firm primarily practicing in our litigation, real estate finance, bankruptcy and creditor’s rights practice group. Prior to joining Kolesar & Leatham, John worked defending health care providers and facilities in medical malpractice lawsuits. During law school, John also interned for The Honorable David Nuffer, the Chief Judge of the United States District Court- District of Utah. John eared his J.D., cum laude, from the S.J. Quinney College of Law at the University of Utah. There, he served as an Associate Articles Editor for the Utah Law Review and as the Student Director of the Pro Bono Initiative’s Family Law Clinic. As director of this clinic, John worked to bring local practitioners and law students together to provide free legal advice to the low-income population of Salt Lake City. John received a Bachelor’s degree in Humanities from Brigham Young University – Idaho.

Gigante has joined the firm as Shareholder, primarily practicing in administrative law and government affairs, including liquor, gaming and cannabis law. Ms. Gigante joins Kolesar & Leatham after more than ten years with the Clark County, Nevada Business License Department where she managed all aspects of general, regulated liquor, gaming, marijuana business licensing and enforcement. Her work for Clark County included establishing compliance protocols and developing guidelines for agency enforcement of marijuana and liquor licensing laws.

Mike has exceptional experience in the mortgage servicing industry and in foreclosures, complex litigation, and creditor representation in business bankruptcy cases, He has frequently spoken at industry conferences and events including the California Mortgage Bankers Association and has been a guest instructor for Lorimar Education. Mike serves on advisory boards for the American Bankruptcy Institute and National Conference of Bankruptcy Judges, and was recently elected Chair of the Bankruptcy Practice Section of the State Bar of Nevada.
