Ryan T. Gormley practices primarily in the areas of commercial litigation, general civil litigation, and appeals.

Prior to joining Kolesar & Leatham, Mr. Gormley served as a law clerk to Chief Justice Mark Gibbons of the Supreme Court of Nevada.  As a law clerk, Mr. Gormley researched and wrote bench memoranda to assist the Justices in deciding a variety of complex cases before the Court.  In this role, Mr. Gormley also assisted the Court in drafting several significant published opinions.

Mr. Gormley received his Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing with a minor in the Legal Environment of Business from the Pennsylvania State University, University Park in 2010.  At Penn State, Mr. Gormley was a four-year starter and captain of the nationally ranked men’s varsity tennis team.  Mr. Gormley was consistently named an Academic All Big Ten Selection throughout his collegiate career and received the Penn State Senior award and Sportsmanship award his senior year.

Mr. Gormley earned his Juris Doctor from the William S. Boyd School of Law in 2014, where he graduated cum laude.  During law school, Mr. Gormley served as an extern to the Honorable James C. Mahan of the United States District Court, District of Nevada.  Mr. Gormley also served as an Articles Editor for the UNLV Gaming Law Journal, and as an elected official for the Sports and Entertainment Law Society.

Mr. Gormley is also active in the Las Vegas community through volunteer activities.  Mr. Gormley currently serves on two non-profit boards: the Advisory Board for the Marty Hennessy Inspiring Children Foundation and the Board of Directors for the United States Tennis Association, Nevada.
