| Georlen K. Spangler's practice is primarily litigation oriented. Ms. Spangler regularly handles commercial litigation and construction-related matters, including representation of multiple subcontractors in litigation against major hotel-casinos and construction lenders. Ms. Spangler has also negotiated and customized multiple AIA form construction contracts as well as sophisticated non-standard construction contracts. |
| Ms. Spangler received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1989, where she was a member of the Jessup International Moot Court team. She received her bachelor's of arts degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where she graduated magna cum laude. Ms. Spangler is also a member of Phi Beta Kappa and served as a law clerk for the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin as part of an externship program. |
| Ms. Spangler is an arbitrator with the American Arbitration Association for commercial and construction matters and is also an active member of the American Bar Association's Litigation Section and the American Bar Association Forum on the Construction Industry. She also serves as a co-chair of the Women in Construction Subcommittee. Ms. Spangler routinely lectures on Nevada construction law issues and is the co-author of "Nevada Construction Law," published by HLK Global Communications as part of its state construction law book series. |
| Ms. Spangler is a member of the State Bar of Nevada and is admitted to practice before all state courts in Nevada, the United States District Court for the District of Nevada, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Ms. Spangler has been recognized in the 2006 and 2007 editions of Chambers USA Directory of Leading Lawyers as a top construction lawyer and as a 2007 Mountain States Super Lawyer in Litigation. Ms. Spangler is also AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell. |
