James D. Hibbard practices primarily in trial and alternative dispute resolution for Kolesar & Leatham. He has litigated commercial, securities, products liability, toxic tort, medical negligence and construction cases.

Hibbard earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Oregon, School of Law in 1971. He also earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Oregon. Hibbard is a member of the State Bar of Nevada and the State Bar of Oregon, and is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the District of Nevada and the District of Oregon.

Formerly the shareholder-in-charge of the Las Vegas branch of Bullivant Houser Bailey, Hibbard was selected as one of Nevada Super Lawyers for 2008.

Hibbard is formerly a member of the Defense Research Institute and is presently a member of the Federal Court Historical Society. He is also a member of the Multnomah County Bar Association and has served as a speaker on law-related subjects.
